From working in her early career as a young school leader driving educational outcomes through technology to helping governments shape policies for edtech and technology-enabled economic growth and now working with Europe’s largest corporations to plan how to derive business value from generative AI technologies, Sarah is a passionate advocate for the place technology has in powering solutions which enrich lives and help businesses to thrive.

Mike Beck

Mike has spent 18 years working in technology, security, and risk operations. He started his career as a software engineer on GCHQ’s technologist program and progressed to support military operations. He has conducted intelligence analysis and assessment in operational theaters across the world as a senior intelligence officer. In 2010, Mike merged his intelligence and technology experience to run cyber defensive operations for the UK government, including working on the implementation of the national cybersecurity strategy and protecting the London 2012 Olympic Games. Joining Darktrace at its early stages in 2014, Mike developed the cyber-analyst operation that supports thousands of Darktrace customers with 24/7 support, and since 2020 has overseen Darktrace’s internal security program as Global CISO. He holds a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Plymouth.

Under his leadership, Tiberium experienced rapid growth and became a market leader in the delivery of automation-based cybersecurity services, including creating the world’s first Microsoft Teams-integrated Security Operations workflow and being the first UK MSSP to launch a Microsoft Sentinel-based managed service. Drew’s past technical experience includes battling nation-state threat actors, conducting sophisticated red team cyber operations, and collaborating with governments and cyber defenders worldwide.
